Prompt # 200: picture, question

What do you see in this picture?

so much depends
on the soft black crows
perched on
the tall sleeping tree
against the moonlight
surrounded in mist
late that morning of eternity
- a play on the poem "Red Wheelbarrow" by William Carlos Williams. One of the most simplistically beautiful poems I've ever read.

What do I see when I gaze on this picture?
False light illuminating a foreground which doesn’t belong against the night.

Which food would you never even try to taste? What food will you never eat again?

Skunk. Now there is a truly horrible thought. Can you imagine how that distinctive odor of theirs must permeate every part of their beings? I shudder at the thought of ever ingesting such filthy blood. Disgusting to the very end. I can imagine bitterness and the sour taste of bile, though I may just be anticipating what my reaction might be if I did ever have to resort to eating skunk.

Though, of course, I could well have said beets and been done with it.

What food will I never eat again?
Ha! Quite simple, really. Food.
